Skjebnevette: I was going to be in the olympics
Skjebnevette: I was going to be a pole vaulter
Skjebnevette: but I can't perform in front of crowds
Skjebnevette: I can't keep it hard

Through the centuries (cept for the dark ages) Olympians have been regarded as the greatest athletes of their time. Taking the human form to the farthest reaches, to levels where most will collapse, and die.

If thats the case why is volleyball there?

lol Nbc spent millions getting this, but someone forget to them that no one watches the olympics

Yeah, I'm not so sure about the place team sports like baseball and basketball have in the olympics. I'm still pissed though that they're taking out baseball but keeping that stupid ass riding-around-on-a-horse-in-some-fancy-clothes-doing-basically-nothing shit.

Cool, the town of Winchester...grew up near those parts myself. My art teacher in elementary school (attended as the 80' games were going on) was the mother of Kitty and Peter Carruthers who were adopted (non bio) brother and sister figure skaters that competed in the 80' Olympics.
Also, a neighbor of mine was Mark Fusco who played for the US Hockey team in the same Olympics.

Thats my touch with Olympic greatness up to this point in life :)

note: The 80' Olympics also brought us the "miracle on ice" of course. For the younger peeps, though you all probably know by now, this was the US mens hockey team playing on home turf in Lake Placid NY, made up of collegiate amatures who defeated the powerhouse Russian elite team on thier way to winning the gold medal. The greatest upset in sports history!

I would highly recommend seeing the movie "Miracle" starring Kurt Russell. A GREAT MOVIE with awesome game action sequences acted out by real hockey players, not cheesy actors.
