One more band to guess....

This would kick my ass too but even though they are currently gigging in Europe...Marco & the Nightwish deal will probably limit what he can do. l'm sure by the time PPVIII rolls around he'll be elbows deep into Nightwish. I remember Glenn mentioned this.
I know, but we can always hope this will work out and Tarot can play!!

Hmmm Andromeda/Sun Caged would fit the co-headline thingie...

Oh and I think that just with the fact that Jon Schaffer and Hansi Kursch play in Demons & Wizards, make the band more than worthy for a sole spot as headliner.

Who is the headliner on Saturday folks?

I originally predicted Brainstorm, but I doubt we'll have another repeat. I think we already have a record with three repeats, although I could be wrong.

I have to say I'm stumped now, so I'll just throw out a wild-ass guess: Fates Warning finally says yes.

Brainstorm will never play over Primal Fear. That's like Symphony X headlning over Dream Theater.

While I will not comment on specific bands, I will repeat what I said earlier. Some bands will get booked at this festival higher than anywhere else in the world due to their popularity with my hardcore crowd. Pagan's Mind would be the prime example this year. Thus, I do not have a problem booking a band in the last slot that doesn't sell as many records as someone like Primal Fear because it's all about the crossover appeal in terms of the last band keeping an audience.

SX is awesome and can't wait for the new disc!

And a great headliner for the show IF everything falls through and there is no co headliner and Glenn has to go another direction...

OPETH!
It would be FANTASTIC!

No guessing. Glenn will be a one man band and cover Jimmy Buffet for 2 hrs.

Or a good chance for Within Temptation with the roadrunner signing. Though with my luck, they'll get a middle slot in a tour with bands like Walls of Jericho & Arch Enemy.

Then look no further than Symphony X or Kamelot! :) Both proven PP crowd pleasers who will be on the road next fall supporting new releases in 2007.

Symphony X could really use a killer live DVD and where would they get a better crowd response than at ProgPower USA? :Smokin:

Symphony X, Kamelot, and Brainstorm are my hopes for the last slot. I know many of you think those first 2 dont fit what Glenn said and I understand that, I am just hoping. As for Brainstorm, theyve been a fav of mine for a long time and I think they could follow Primal Fear...but then again, I've never seen either live and don't even like Primal Fear so I really wouldnt know, but I can still hope.

I'm also thinking Brainstorm is a likely candidate for that slot, based on the clues. They should have a new disc out soon (I would think).

I'd love that, but look how many repeats we have already. Personally, I'd rather NOCTURNAL RITES, ICED EARTH, HELLOWEEN, or anyone else different. If we did have another repeater, I'd kill to have THERION. If anyone deserves to headline this fest, it's them. But, I would really prefer someone new.

Also, I've seen BRAINSTORM twice. Seeing SYMPHORCE again would fucking rule! To me, they're just as good or even better at certain points than BRAINSTORM sometimes. Andy Franck in either form is headline material, anyway, IMO.

IMO, Eldritch isn't even close to a headliner. I'd be surprised if they were a #3.

Really? I would think that their mid-90s releases were prog essentials that would put them in the class of Conception. Not a true headliner, but if we're making a headliner this year they could qualify.
