1) Have any of you met an internet friend in person?
yup, many ... most of them are metalhead that i met in gigs... but i became friends with some people from the Gathering MB, and we didn't need to wait a gig to have a party (since they were french, belgian, swdsuiogh.... (hmmm ... a guy from switzerland), dutch, polish and of course german people who went to Berlin only to have a party with internet friends)
2) What do your "real-life" friends think of the time you spend online?
they don't care, i think ... but i don't care if they do
3) Do you consider your internet friends to be "legitimate" friends? Or do you purposefully make an effort to keep the two realms separate? Meaning, do you not let yourself get attached to anyone online because "they're not real"?
of course they are legitimate ! i would't drive almost 1000 km only to meet them if not. i am planning to travel to the netherlands next summer and sleep to another internet friend, so ...
