They were initially meant for the street team, but the problem with the Opeth internet community, is that most everyone knows each other, and song sharing is more likely than not going to happen.

Sucks. I'm homeless too now. I've been randomly reading other forums from bands I like but most of them are pretty dead compared to the Opeth forum. It may have been rubbish for the past year or so (see my exciting rant in the similar thread on the Nevermore forum) but atleast stuff happened and it gave you something to read when you're bored.

As for the video with the nurses thing, that is just totally bizarre. But everytime I think of evil nurses I just think of the hospital level in Silent Hill 2. That noise they make is permanently burned into my brain.

YES! Those things were so creepy. I remember having that light that only went like a yard in front of you and then BAM! Nurse with an axe is RIGHT FUCKING THERE.

I haven't fully played Silent Hill 2, but I remember back when Silent Hill 1 was big the nurses in the game were fucking scary, but when I heard the Opeth video news I didn't think I Silent Hill.

LFAJ had "Baying of the Hounds" too, or so he said. I think Opeth (and Roadrunner) saw that it was quickly getting out of hand. New DLs seemed to be coming out every few days. With only 8 or 9 songs, it wouldn't have been long before the whole album was available.

I have a small clip from BOTH, really bad radio rip. Everyone has, right?

I have absolutely no problem with anyone discussing the Opeth forums closure and reasons for it, but this thread is not going to turn into "this has leaked and that has leaked" thread. These forums are owned and paid for by the members of each respective band and they deserve the respect of at least keeping that kind of conversation private -- not publically discussed in their forums. I'm sure all understand.

Just a brief note for a specific few and for all others to be aware of. Thanks for observing it.
