ORANGE TINY TERROR RECALL!!

Hmm, not so sorry I sold mine anymore! Thanks for the heads up dude!

Oh wait, nevermind, it's only for the CHINESE-made models - damn, I made such a big deal about finding a Korean made one when I bought mine, now I'm glad I did!

Didn't realise you'd sold it Marcus. Are you planning to replace it with anything?

Yeah, I had to sell it cuz I needed new tires for my car, but my Dual Rectifier has been filling the void it left quite nicely :D However, I do lust for another TT eventually!

+1, wouldn't mind owning another, but the Blackstar HT-5 clips I've heard have me lusting after one of those as well!

Just checked....mine's Korean so it's ok. Didn't fancy having to send it back to the factory considering I'm moving abroad next month.

Eek, seriously? Point me in the direction of 'em then dude, cuz I've yet to hear anything I liked! :erk:

I heard some meaty youtube clips of it ( I know, hard to judge), but I can tell the amp definitely has a thick British character to it. With a boost I bet it would kill!

For me, the Tiny Terror had just enough gain, then when I hit it with a boost it got mighty heavy. The TT is still pretty Brit sounding as well, just has that wooly Orange character to it.

There are some decent clips of the blackstar on netmusicians as well.

I've also heard plenty of absolute shit Tiny Terror clips, but I loved the amp! I might have to try the Blackstar out in GC before I pick one up.

Time to bring this one out again - I won't even consider the Blackstar until I hear a clip of it that can beat this! :D (and I'm certain the wool in that clip is from the cab, seeing as how I used a different guitar and amp than my Rectifier clips that still have the same quality!)

Damn, that's probably the most convincing TT clip I have ever heard. Not a fan of the tone as it its (I know you like to have 'em mids dude :D), but sounds like it would absolutely killer when blended with another amp!

Owned/played both, HT-5 sucks balls, TT does not. I've got a Korean model too so its all good :Smug:

Nice tone indeed Marcus...however I'm still interested in trying the bugger out. If it sucks balls in the store I will buy another TT.

And by wool I don't really mean a woofy low end or anything, just that the Oranges have a subdued high end that makes them sound warmer to me.

-Joe

I've got some old TT clips that I just revisited recently as well. Forgot how much the tone ruled, yet I won't post because the playing sucks! :-)

All I'm saying is I will never judge an amp unless I can spend some time with em first. Although, it depends on who is judging it. If it is one of my trusted tone fellows on here, I will be a bit weary going in. Although if it's the generic youtube "SUCKZ BALLS BUY A 6150000!11!!" then I will move along.

Oh snap...

Totally overlooked that post regarding the handwired TT. While it looked a bit gimmicky to me at first, the fact that it's UK built is pretty tempting.

BUT, will it really sound that much better than the regular to justify the price? (I'm assuming it will be a considerable amount more than the regular...)

-Joe

Yeah, personally I think I'd rather get another Korean model and just get the Mercury Magnetics "Holy Terror" transformer set, especially because MM offers a 100% money-back guarantee if you aren't satisfied! (hello re-amping shootout! :heh: ) And thanks for the props on the clip guys, I know I post it a lot but dammit I'm proud! :D
