No, fuck Borders. Assholes still have Sony Music / BMG "Content Protected" CDs on the shelves... same shit that Sony Music allegedly "recalled" as part of the class-action lawsuit settlement. (I'll never shop with those motherfuckers again - kid told me last week the discs I showed him would be pulled, then the manager tells me today they won't pull anything without corporate order. I HATE being lied to.)

Anyone wonder why people still download albums from the Internet? Bastards.

havent had a problem with those cds. whats the problem? i rip cds onto my pc so i can have my music woth me on the truck and the truck cd player wont scratch them. have never had a problem.

and i heard that too about kate, nice clarification.

shop elsewhere besides malls usually. bestbuy works.

Problem is that, when you put these CDs into your computer, they install - without your permission or knowledge - software called a "rootkit" which hides itself in the system settings, and allegedly transfers back to Sony / BMG your listening / copying habits. If you try to remove the rootkit, it scrambles your operating system, so all you can do is a virgin re-install.

The kids fell asleep in the car today after we went for brunch, so we drove around and got most of our shopping done while they slept.

Hey, I was left in the car, too. Must have been some sight for a passerby...dad asleep in the front seat, and 2 kids asleep in the back.

And not all of us drive slow. Just the seniors who migrate south for the winter.

I saw some more stuff for the kids tonight but I had the kids with me so I took that as a sign that they weren't meant to have it.

Yesterday, while visiting my brother-in-law (who lives across the street from Wrigley Field), my husband and I checked out this store called Metal Haven. It's the smallest store ever, but has a nice selection of underground/obscure metal bands. Anyhoo, my husband found this Judas Priest tribute album from '97. On it, was:
1. The Hellion/Electric Eye - Helloween
2. Rapid Fire - Testament
3. Saints In Hell - Fate Warning
4. The Ripper - Mercyful Fate
5. Exciter - Strapping Young Lad
6. Burnin' Up - Doom Squad (aka John, Scott, and Whitfield Crane)
7. Love Bites - Nevermore
8. Tyrant - Overkill
9. Grinder - Kreator
10. The Ripper - Iced Earth

Never seen it before, so we got it. I also picked up Children of Bodom's Hatebreeder album.
