I have to admit I am in love ( in a non-lesbian sense, sorry boys  ) with Summer Glau. She is absolutely beautiful AND does all her fight sequences herself, and does them perfectly..so basically that girl can kick loads of ass and look amazing doing so.

You'll like the music video I made then :)

My first video ever.

i'd have to give it to wchuck though. He's probably the kind of guy I am, but I could be wrong. I like the "simple/natural" look, nothing special, nothing exaggerated. just ordinary. with an extraordinary personality. a real woman. now thats hot. perfect imperfection.

you smoothy, you know all the right things to say about what kind of chick you want ;).

However, pretty girls (or guys) are just people too, and attractiveness is indeed subjective. I hate it though when a guy makes an assumption that a girl is stuck up or has a bad personality or is even 'too unattainable' because she happens to have facial features deemed 'socially acceptable'. It speaks nothing of their personality or how they view themselves. There are plenty of attractive people who dont think they are 'all that' and plenty of unattractive people who do (believe me I know).

We all know not to judge someone based on being 'unattractive' the same should be said for the reverse. Bottom line is dont judge someone until you have made the effort to get to know them first. Let that be the lesson of the day people :)

^^ that post reminds me.

I get annoyed with all the "true beauty lies inside a person, not outside" and "its what is in the inside not the outside" all the time, yeah I beleive that is true in the end but its not like im going to go up to the ugliest person I know and ask her out... along with the above mentioned I do reckon attractiveness plays a really important part in a relationship or whatever... when I see females when im out and about and if I see a hot looking one I dont assume she is the coolest person thing thing ever and that i should be devoted to her, I'd like to get to know them then i would make my decision. but as SR said it should be the otherway around too, there have been circumstances where i will be talking to someone not so good looking and they have been some pretty cool people and some pretty angry\annoying\hateful people, but I have the same number with good looking people (im mainly applying to females I know here).

So I reckon that, yes the inside is appealing but attractiveness (in your eyes) is a really important part of a relationship.

of course! but i'm saying what is attractive to me is someone who can just be herself and be confident about it. i really don't care about fashion or makeup or sparse clothing or any of that. give me the kind of girl i described, in a plain shirt, especially red.. wow..., plain pants, dark hair. if she's got a passion for life and a mind to pursue it, that's "hot" to me.

I'm flattered, but seeing as I love SilentRealm too, let's not compare. Besides, saying something like that isn't fair to her.
 way to be diplomatic

Jumping in on the discussion, i think anyone who completely discounts physical looks is retarded. Of course you want someone who you are attracted to on a deeper level, be it personality or whatnot, but what draws you to that person in the first place? At the risk of sounding like a prick, what makes you even want to talk to them in the first place? Sure, it's that huge, crooked nose, the psoriosis and hair that's falling out in clumps. Mmmmm....:err:

Psychologists have found that people who are in love find their partner physically more attractive.

Well I'd say you'd be friends first. So then what attracts you beyond friendship? Those little things I mentioned.
Uh oh... looks like you have some reading to do...

No, these were not written by an asshole (so far as i can tell) and yes, i'm serious. Read some of his other shit too... funnier than all hell.

edit: the last two are the most important.

I disagree. Love is the highest form of friendship. I have many personal quirks I could bring up, but I don't know if you want to read an essay about what I think the proper "etiquite" should be.

I agree with about half of this statement. I've been with my girlfriend for about four years, and we are like best friends. However, from personal experiance, it seems like he's right. If friendship comes first, then that's all it will ever be. If a relationship comes first, then you become great friends, well, there you go. Again, this is basically an oppinion/whatever floats your boat type thing. There is no right or wrong. I just think those articles are fucking funny as hell :D

Hey, that was actually pretty good. Thanks for the links.
Every now and then, it's good to read about relationship tips and notice that one is not that know-it-all after all...
