Norrbaggar. That's not a nice word. I don't use it for that reason - I know it's meant as a joke by Swedes, but I don't think it's any funnier than calling someone a my pals or some other debasing name. Even if you are all a bit off your rocker...
 
Bagge means sheep's testicles. It was first used as a joke, when the Swedes and Norwegians and the opponents of King Sverre Sigurdsson's anme was something like Bagler. Bagler's name was then jokingly turned into Bagge, and since then we've called you Norrbaggar. These days it is more a term of endearment, but to me, a burn is a burn, so I don't use the term, since I feel much too much affinity towards our neighbours in the west to do so. I don't mind joking and harrassing for fun, but name-calling is un-called for in that sense, IMO.
