The opening riff in brave is just fucking ace to the max. Brave Murder Day would be a perfect album without that gay pop song.

I prefer Murder myself. Most hypnotic, amazing song ever

When Akerfeldt growls out Five Day Pain is the best fucking part of the album

Anathema with the older singer daren or whatever is great(he actually reminds me of older lee dorrian on FOE actually). The other singer is fucking awful. The guy does not completly shit up the silent enigma.

Shades of God is nothing like Brave Murder Day. Are you deaf?

If you want Paradise Lost, I would recommend their albums Gothic, Icon, and Draconian Times. I would recommend that you avoid the band though. They were never one of the better doom metal bands. My Dying Bride, November's Doom, and Anathema were all recording much better music around that time.
