I feel at peace when I listen to the Anathema songs 'Are You There?' and 'Temporary Peace'. I'll think up more later, but those sprung to mind. Nothing like Sigur Ros, but oh well...
Oh man, I love those 2 songs. Definitely up there as my favourite Anathema songs. On the other hand, I think the second half of "Temporary Peace" is totally worthless.

By second half, do you mean the bonus bit that follows the song? Or the second half of the song itself (which is my favourite bit of the song :p)?

a peaceful song i have been listening to a lot lately is

i talk to the wind
and Moonchild (before the crappy experimental bit)
But generally I'll just listen to some modern classical music; more often than not Karl Jenkins

wow, you're tr00 kvlt!!

What an intelligent post. Do you make an effort to be so stupid or does it run in your inbred family?

It never ceases to amaze me that people can post something as a short sentence which answers a question and some little acne covered teenager like you can come walking along and post a pathetic comment like you just did.

Your comment only displays that you like 99% of people in this forum lack thought let alone originality in your attempts at being insulting.

And people wonder why this place has gone to shit. And before you ask what I'm doing here - I come here on the odd occasion that something interesting might be discussed which these days is a rarity.

People like you make the Opeth forum a renowned place for immaturity.

I actually fell asleep at a Sigur Ros show. I was incredibly baked, but that's no excuse, its just boring stuff sometimes.

October Falls - Tuoni, I think, is a hilarious album. Kept skipping songs and it sounded like I'd burned the same track nine different times. So bad.

Low is a band that doesn't get mentioned enough. They have a decade's worth of nice and chill stuff.

THAT'S IT!!!!

I KNEW there was a band I meant to mention that I couldn't bring to mind!

'Things We Lost In The Fire' and 'Trust' are my favourites. Some moments of true, genuine, fragile beauty there.
