Post-Rock

Yeah. Could just be some of the things I've been through lately that gives the song a personal conotation.

Eitherway, a masterpiece.

imho that song is kinda uplifting, it's sad in the beginning then it turns it around and becomes pretty hopeful.

Yeh exactly, great mixture of emotions, especially that lovely section that comes in about halfway through.

i treasure my copy of heima more than my own life.

it's the best music dvd i've ever seen. just pure bliss. get it. you won't regret it. beautiful is an understatement.

I didn't think the Sigur Ros dvd was THAT brilliant. I mean, I didn't even watch it till the end because I had a problem with my dvd player, but all in all I thought it was nice, and some great parts, had some meh parts.

I'm downloading the Mono dvd now to check it out.

some more albums to check out:

Rachel's - Selenography
Shipping News - Save Everything
Slint - Spiderland (one of the earliest post rock albums)
Foxhole - We the Wintering Tree

Anyone know of bands who do metal/post rock, in the way that Agalloch did it on their latest album, specifically Bloodbirds and Fire Above, Ice Below?
