So y'know what guys, I tried out a 6505 in a shop, into a Peavey 4x12. It sounded pretty damn decent on the distortion. I could get a usable clean tone, which surprised me. Only thing I didn't like was the shared EQ - the clean tone didn't sound good with the same EQ that the distortion sounded good with, so I think I'd need a 6505+ for live performance.
Definitely interested in getting one though; been going to the 6505 and the + version more and more these days, in RevalverMKIII.
I might try running RevalverMKIII into the poweramp of my Laney, see what it sounds like. Might even be usable live!!
