For the verses I liked Jake more. For the chorus this has become more interesting now. There no doubt that your new singer kicks some serious ass - as you say it's always murdering your brain when you've heard a song in one version a million times and then suddenly it's being changed to something different.
BTW what's up with those ghostnotes on the snare - I'd cut them out immediately.

I've listened to the new version 3 times now and the only aspect I can now remember of the previous with Jake was "hey everybody I can fly."
