where the woman is datting the most horrible guy she knows and she's trying to "change" him, to "make him a better person"

it's annoying because it doesn't work, when the inevitable breaku-up happens, she ends up breaking up with the exact same jack-ass she initially started dating to begin with, and even though it didn't work, she still goes out and does the same thing with a whole new jack-ass everytime she gets a new boyfriend
