POD FARM 2

Well POD farm 2 vs. POD farm 1 has the "advantage" of being able to be used by a midi controller. So you are able to use it live. Other than that, I don't see many differences.

Just got my (free) update, I really like the Elements idea... this way I can use all seperate parts of the Podfarm programm without having to open the whole thing... GUI makes a lot more sense to me in version 2.

Bump, I just checked with the Monkey to see if I could get this for free since I am an X3 owner but wasn't sure of the details... Turns out I can get it for $49. I hear the tuner is really good and the individual plugins sounds like a win, is it worth $50?

Dude I'm fucking LOVING PODfarm more now. One trick I learned from Ryan was to use the API preamp model on like the guitar stereo bus, it gets you sooo close without even eq'ing yet with just that on there. I love that I can throw that on many more tracks now by itself without loading the whole plug like before with 1. It's like adding a type of warmth to the sound and sweetens the highs and warms the lows a bit. Anyway, that plus making it easier to run just PODfarm amps and use IRs with IR1A make it worth it to me, I paid like $30 for my upgrade (iLok). The Elements idea is just what I was wanting. The tuner is good on it as well. The GUI is better this time around from the previous version too, I like it a lot more.

pod farm sounds way better imho.

i don't get why so many people are bitching about pod farm.
for most guitar cabs, you can choose between the sm57 off or on axis, as well as the 421 and a royer iirc. now, the on axis 57 sure sounds like DEAD ON the dust cap, fizz city. 421 sounds quite phasey and hollow, as if quite far off axis or even at an angle. cool thing is that with the dual tone feature you can "sort of" mimic a dual mic setup, tone 1 being the fizzy 57 on axis, tone 2 either the 421 or the 57 off axis.

Woow! That's something you could do with amplitube2 and it has been out for al ong time now. I dont see that as a good sales argument anymore. Its like saying now you can install windows 98 on your pc. With amplitube3 you can move the mics in any way you want. And if line6 at least offered that possibility, yes it would be worth paying for an upgrade.....maybe. I sold my line6 software a couple of years ago and I have never regreted it.

except for bass, loving it on bass)
You must be first one who says that. Well if you like it, good for you. I was really dissapointed with their basstuff so I bought Ik's Ampeg to get a good bassound. Impossible with line6. They didn't sound realistic at all. Too plastic.
