Seance
Still Writes in Crayon
it must all be part of my larger scheme to finally bring an end to great music once and for all
just got my tickets to see them next wednesday, i cant wait, the last time i saw them at that warm up gig (where they played this album in full - i think) it was one of the best gigs ive ever been to. I had never been so excited about new material i heard that night, usually i usually need to hear it on a cd first and after a few listens i make up my mind. This was instant, which is something else for a band to pull off live.
Heard Cambridge is a great venue...and Im fortunate enough to see them twice in the next month and 1/2 (both at park west )they arent coming to cambridge, are they?
If anything, I think there are improvements on ideas and stylistic changes from Deadwing, with a much better flow. The album is so easy to listen to all the way through, something none of their previous albums did for me. Not that I think this is their best album, but at least in regards to flow, i'd say it is.
Really astonishing song! My fav.at the moment, it has a moody feel to it and is well written.Oh yeah and "Way out of here" is maybe the best PT song recorded.
Just out of sheer curiosity... is English your first language or have you just moved to the US recently? If the former, it is astounding how terrible your grammar is, for a native speaker.I still don't like this album... I mean yes they bring new, interesting elements of arrangement and writing... but overall the music is very weak... most of the choruses especially are just and ruin everything for me. needless to say I won't be buying the album since I've listened to it about 10 times since it's leaked and it isn't doing anything for me whatsoever, which is fine by me because I already have 2 other albums releasing on the 24th to buy anyway

I cant imagine how good that wasoh yes they are, cambridge junction to be precise. they always come back. crowd response last time was quite astonishing considering most cambridge gigs bring in a load of shoe gazers.
first time i saw them Anathema supported, imagine how good that was .

I still don't like this album. I mean, yes, they bring new, interesting elements of arrangement and writing, but the music is very weak. Most of the choruses, especially, are just bad and ruin everything for me. Having listened to the album about 10 times since the leak with little enjoyment, I can safely say I'm not buying it. I couldn't care less, though, because I already have 2 other albums releasing on the 24th to buy anyway.
