Dismember - The God That Never Was 8/10
Some of the songs are a bit bland, and just seem like the same old Dismember stuff but every now and then something ridicously awesome comes up and kicks your ass all over (A great example would be the harmonized guitars on the chorus to 'Time Heals Nothing'). Plus, you do not fuck with that guitar tone. Dismember has the most badass guitar sound I have ever heard, and they even come very close to matching the delicous lead tone of "Whoracle", though I don't think that was intentional. Although they are a straight up DM band, this album has one the greatest melodic death instrumentals in the form of 'Phantoms (Of The Oath)'. Check it the fuck out.

One thing I feel the need to mention about the new Katatonia, however, is that on the last track, the guest singer's accent drives me INSANE (not in a good way 
)
