Hey all,

Figured I'd post this here also because our band are all huge Opeth fans and we're heavily influenced by them. We're a 5-piece melodic/progressive death metal band with electric violin. It's dark, intricate stuff that still manages to be hard and aggressive. And it's one of the only metal bands in the world led by a female electric violinist! If you like bands like Opeth, Arch Enemy and In Flames, you don't want to miss HUNG.

You can hear samples here:

Let us know what you think of the songs!

The songs are cool though. I'd sugest the name hungaloceth instead, from a marketing standpoint, it's far more interesting imo

Deliverance and Ganza: Haha yeah thanks... it's pretty messed up, what with the tempo and all. oh well thanks for watching.

Hi just thought i'd post my attempt at covering 'To Bid You Farewell' by Opeth. I'm an A-level student so it's nothing spectacular, and contains MIDI drums and Bass, but i wanted to capture the essence of Opeth in the recording. Also i like the way the jazzy guitar solo turned out in it as I use the same guitars as the band.

Please note, i shortened the song down from the full length to about 4 mins. As i just mentioned, there is MIDI drums, Bass and additional synth, then i have added 2 live acoustic guitars, 1 live electric solo guitar and live Vocals.

Let me know if you like them or hate them:loco: thanks, Tom Barnes.

Realy nice!
the only thing is bother me is some pitch probs...but not so many... gj

Lol , ıts just a 1 minute part of song and its only 1 guitar normally the sound you hear backround is played with e-bow etc.

Now I have put another 1 minute part of the song that comes just after that riff. Its played in dist. but I recorded it in clean because I cannot find my Line 6 and I have used a crappy program called n-Track Studio.

I recorded/mixed demon of the fall in a big rush today cause I was bored, I SUCK at guitar so the "chorus" riff and the clean part right after it are highly questionable (and the rest is kinda loose) and the drums are fake and I don't have a microphone (and surely couldn't do the growls right anyway) so it could be better. I am pleased with what it is, though...3:05 especially sounds almost exactly like the original for a second there :)

EDIT: i listened to that guy's TBYF, the guitar sounds great but the synth is annoying and needless and makes the song sound contrived ;P What did you use for the fake bass? It's kind of hard to hear but I think it sounds pretty good. Sound fonts? Reason? Kontakt? Or do you just have great midi drivers? :p You should master it afterwards or just simply boost the levels a lot, the file sure was quiet.

You might want to invest in antares auto-tuner (the last note especially is kinda ugly), also I think your voice is better suited for power metal ballads :D Vocals are pretty good though.
