Prog/Power Night @ Mac's - Feb. 25

I may go to the New England Metalfest with a friend this year, but as for ProgPower it may have to wait until next year.

I hope to see that you guys make it to the ProgPower stage sometime. If so, I would be first in line.:headbang:

That's cool! BTW, there is also another cool festival in about 3 weeks in Chicago called Chicago Powerfest. I'd love to go , but I can't afford two big fests in a year. Besides, we have a show that night (April 8).

And believe me, that would be a huge honor for us to play THE premier prog/power metal festival in the US -- perhaps the world! You had better be there if that happens ;)

Trust me, if that ever happens, I'll be there. I am hoping that ProgPower becomes more hospitable to up and coming bands from the USA of the melodic metal vein.

Melodic metal lives on here, you just gotta look for it.

Cool!!! We are all hoping that ;) If you remember the Powermad festival in Baltimore (which is where ProgPower was conceived), this was Keith's goal. Unfortunately, the great concept didn't necessarily survive the implementation. :( Something somewhere in between would be killer!

Fully agreed!

See ya!

It's been slow on here and I miss everyone ...but that's OK! Such is life and I know we will all cross paths again. I wear two hats here: Journalist and fan/friend...that was me with my friend/fan hat.

Now my journalist hat comes back on...

Reflecting back on that awesome gig from Feb...You all should know that Mac's The Club and that show was were Rising Forces USA was born! We came down there with intentions to cover the show and make contacts and we did just that!

I want to express my deepest thanks again to OC for their enthusiasm for our project. If no one liked our idea we would have darted back under the rock. But you did like it and we thank you! Now you got a group of enthusiastic fans who love the music and one fan/journalist who's life was changed by that gig, and who is eternally grateful.

I know, I get all "smushy and sentimental", but that's just me! I don't hide my feelings, especially when they led to something as awesome as RFUSA.

Coming soon! I'll be sure to send Matt and Rick a prototype for their opinion.:headbang:

Yes, things are already rolling rather well with Rising Forces USA. Both Matt B. (Snowy) and I have been making contacts (thanks for the advice you gave me at the Feb. 25 show, Matt {Odin's Court} regarding how to get ahold of different bands).

Yes. Keith has done a great job in wrangling in a few more...I am sure we will be absolutely flooded if we keep doing those little things right. And I am proud that Odin's Court was the band that started it all! You are a part of history!

I hope you all get to read this because I just can't say enough how thankful I am. I also hope you all will get back to me so I can finalize things for your big feature. I need a few more things for the interview and another copy of RDBF for a contest we want to do (and let me pay for it this time!).

Thanks, my friends! :)
