I mean, they take traditional power metal if you will, and add a weird spin on it. Perhaps Traditional was more appropriate than generic?

I liked it, I just didn't know how to properly describe my feelings. Being young and stupid sucks .

Being old(er) and stupid sucks just as much, if not more.

I am psyched about Wastefall! They are a great prog band with lots of promise to boot.

I'm still stumped as I don't find any power metal at all in the band. They have a very quirky, Pain of Salvation vibe going on but with a much heavier thump. In fact, your description fits Pyramaze more in my book.

To add alittle more from the Intromental website about WASTEFALL Jazzy, progressive metal(think POS) that is interlaced over more dark emotional prog-rock(Opeth meets Porcupine Tree) mix in a little melody-based heavy (Superior meets ARK0 and then you have WASTEFALL, and people let me tell you they will blow you A-W-A-Y. Just as PYRAMAZE will. These two make this years festival worth the trip. Thanks Glenn, and if the rest is anywhere near this good WOOOOOHOOOOO.:hotjump:

Really digging the second Wastefall track....much more than the first one. Got a little worried there, cuz I wasn't hearing the "prog" that Glenn was referring to when describing them initially.

The bummer about this is that since 2 bands are already coming from Intromental, that would decrease the chances for Astral Doors...

Im kind of digging some of the Wastefall stuff, and kind of not. I definitely like a few excerpts of each song, but I don't like either full song very much as a whole... at least they have 8ish months to grow on me
