Questions to Biomechanical

"Got two questions:
How the fuck do Jamie and Chris remember all the shit they play live???

Second are you even from Earth??? "

Well, it's like this.If I was to forget a single note I would be beaten when I get put back in my circus cage after the show.
No only kidding!! With biomechanical guitar parts they're very unorthadox, so it requires many hours of repeatitious practice to actually be able to play the parts, which actually results in the song form & phrases etc becoming engraved in your brain & muscle memory. So when I play a song my hands go into a series of sequences to recreate the music. It's very rare that we play actual chord sequences or recognisable "typical guitar phrases" so it seems to naturally occur that I learn all the parts this way.
& "Are you from Earth?"
No I'm from Swindon.I don't think that qualifies as Earth does it?

:) Wasn't freaked out but more like impressed with how a small girl like her could growl like this! There was another band that did that with two girl singers. We played with them ages ago

Lol. I was more freaked out when she started talking normally! :OMG: Anyway, it was an awesome gig. :headbang:

grrr when you guys doin a US tour i hate hearing about all these gigs in the UK. tell ya what though when i got to england next year im going to catch one concert

The whole Eight Moons album deals with our way of life as it has been shaped by the insanity of our existence.
I could never understand how we can be OK and go about our everyday lives with so much pain and misery been generated by war and destruction.
Wow, that's deep. Thanks, I'm gonna go and listen through the album again now. I'm inspired! :worship:

Hey, not sure if it's deep or not, it's just the way I see things and these are thoughts I at least always wanted to talk about through the Biomech music.
I respect that. There are so many bands (or 'Artists' - wankers) around who write songs with no real meaning. One of the things I really love about listening to Biomechanical, especially when I first heard each album, is that the lyrics make you think.

There's always a chance. More promotions, push from the record company, fans pushing Bio more and the sell of more albums, will get bands out to the respective countries.

The Record company and the band can't just tour a country with little to no recognition. They need to know that the cost of doing a tour won't come out with a negative revenue.

I think Biomechanical has a real chance of making a more that great fan base. The record company just needs to step up a bit more in the Promo department.:)

Hah... if it's a struggle for you's to get out to U.S.A. and North England I'm guessing those of us in Australia have no fucking chance.

It's not easy to just go on a tour to the US like that. Logistically it can be a real nightmare.
The only thing I can say is that things change all the time so we have to wait and see if we get anything going in the future for this side of the globe

I think Biomech can be HUGE.

I for one have been e-mailing Judas Priest weekly to demand a Biomech support slot on the tour for their new album. I'm just stupid like that, though.

BONJOUR LES GARS /\OO\/ !

What cover songs do you play on stage ? Are there any covers that you would like to actually record in a studio for a cd or something ? Who the fuck are these guys ? Would you like fries with that ?

/\0o/\....

Unfortunately, I wouldn't bother wasting your time. Priest told Ripper - the guy who bailed them out of a big jam and helped keep the band going for almost ten years after Halford - that they would NEVER take out any band he's in. So if they're going to dick over a "friend and colleague", then I doubt they'd take a chance on the Biomech boys. I'd start emailing Fear Factory, Maiden, or Nevermore. Or even Disturbed, just to make them look like asses in front of their fans (Nevermore will blow them off the stage on the European tour this fall).

Here's a question for John: would you ever work with another artist on orchestrations for their album?

I intend to get an epic (and original) metal band together and get signed. With a some ideas in tow that require orchestrations, I couldn't think of anyone better than John K and Ihsahn of Emperor fame to compose the orchestrations with. I'm hoping I'll be on a label with enough clout and faith in the ideas, so if I can get it in the budget, you'll have a real full-blown orchestra at your disposal.
