Recommend a band

Tyrant in Distress
I think this has been done before, but I'd like to start it up again. Basically you recommend a band that most people here probably haven't heard, give a link to a site that has samples, if possible. Then the next guy, after listening to the previously recommended bands, recommends a different one. So, here goes:

I recommend Dysrhythmia
http://www.mp3.com/dysrhythmia
Technical, instrumental metal with some lighter art-rock songs and lots of jazz influence. Great stuff. The CDs are available at http://www.lasercd.com and are $8 for Contradiction and $11 for No Interference

Now, go and listen and recommend something else.

Later.

wow pretty cool stuff there! good old tech metal :)

My band is Haji's Kitchen (well not MY band... but my reccomended band). It is like technical 7 string prog with lotsa groove. Here's some sound clips... you can order their newest CD at www.amazon.com if you are wondering.

I love this band! If you like heavy grooves with some good techinical playing you will probably love them like i do :)

:D

You guys were just WAITING for me to post, weren't you??

MARTYR

Technical Death Metal, in the vein of (TSOP-era) Death and Athiest... These guys are awesome, and they are canadian. :D

Bumblefoot!! I LOVE HAJI's KITCHEN!!!
I am a big AIC fan and I love technical guitar stuff so it's a perfect fit! Is it a diffrent singer on Syncopated?? If so I love them both!!

jimbobhickville! DYSRHYTHMIA kicks some serious ass too! They remind me of a less Berzerk Mr.Bungle. I am defininatly gonna pick up CDs from both of these bands! Any other bands similar to these you think I'd like?

Oh my recommended band would be amorphis. Ii'm not crazy about their Death metal stuff but they have some cool mellow progy songs to (actually the majority is) anyway they are pretty good. Just that the singer's accent gets on my nerves sometimes ;) You can find their stuff on Morpheus or Kazza.
Oh I know you guys have heard of Corrosion of Conformity but this is their CD BLIND I'm talking about!!! GET YOUR ASS MOVING AND DOWNLOAD AS MANY SONGS OFF THIS CD AS YOU CAN! I really dig the vocals!
