As for the orgininal question, I assume you know My Dying Bride. If not get "Turn Loose the Swans" and "Angel and the Dark River" they should be right up your alley. Give Forest Stream, Empyrium and Agalloch a shot as well. All are very good bands.

Since you like Morningrise, Agalloch is what you want. Either of the full lengths will do. The lyrics are comprehensible. Drudkh - Autumn Aurora has the mood you're looking for, but don't expect the lyrics to do much for you. I have no idea what they're about.
