Relentless Reckless Forever (Out March 8th, 2011)

It starts off good but too much chorus all over the place. The Scorpions cover is definitely their best. Ramons cover is a good second. Those kick serious butt.

Scorpions can suck a fuck, they just suck, I don't get how you can listen to them without being a drunk 54 year old german.

^Who's arguing, those stating their opinions, or those stating opinions on opinions?

I never did apart from five seconds cos they do suck fuck, the COB cover is just good. That time they actually tried to make a good cover and not just rape an already worthless song.

What have I done? Could they be joking or will they really do it?
I think it would be really cool to see Alexi demoing the EMG ALX once more, but with much better songs and more similar tone. The Are You Dead Yet songs he did last time were boring and really didn't lend themselves to show off neither Alexi's skills nor the cool tone of the EMG ALX. The pickup is really similar sounding to what you can hear on RRF.

Here's my original tweet: @EMG_PICKUPS You guys really need to get Alexi Laiho to do another EMGTV episode. Preferably playing Not My Funeral or Shovel Knockout.

I agree. The last demo he did for it was terrible. The P/U in person sounds so much better than it did in those videos. And they should really show what the other setting can make it sound like.

I aslo agree about it sounding like the RRF tone. Very easy to get any tone from that album on my amp at home.

I just gotta say I love this album more and more. When I turn to the other albums they suddently seem a bit boring...!?? This one has so much energy in it the others dont have compared to this one. Jaskas drums seem flowing much more smoothly and easy throughout the album delivering a solid steady base. I just love this album !

I feel the same way. Shovel, NMF, roadtrip, and ugly just don't seem to be getting old for me at all yet. You're right, I think this album has a lot more energy and feeling in the playing which makes it more appealing to listen to.. for the most part.

I like this album, great feeling when you listen to high, not a song i can skip.. my favorite one from first listen changed alot, Northpole Throwdown is a fast and aggressive song, Shovel Knockout had good keyboard melodies, still miss HB though

Ugly is amazing ! Love the 3/4 beat ! :hotjump: I sooo love Northpole too !

Listening to Roundtrip to Hell and Back tenth consecutive time, in thunderstorm and fever. Despite the flu I have an important sport event to attend to this evening and the melody and keys comfort my restless soul.

Glad you mentioned "Roundtrip". Imo that is the gayest song ever Ive heard from a metal band. I mean "Save me" and " Please dont let me go, hold me tight ....make it alright" is not what I would have expected from a band that goes " foook you motherfooking motherfuuukaaars" all the time..if you get what I mean..
I do like the song though...bit tired of Jannes DAHHH DAAHHH in the sections though...(that is a bit pop and gay too...)

The chorus is indeed something they should have changed to something better before recording the song. Shame, otherwise such an epic track.

I think the sorrowful vibe/theme is an interesting and mature perspective to 'Hell'. The more emotion the better. Aggression is an emotion too, and there are creative and uncreative ways to portray it in music.

Some of the riffs in this song are good, some are not quite 'serious' enough to my taste, mainly that part with the "hold me tight" line... I agree that's gay if you think it like that, but if you actually went into your personal Hell, you'd probably be asking for angels to be with you. You just don't compose COB melodies if you're not an emotional dude.

I guess it's just me but I found Round Trip to be one of the best songs from RRF.

I love the vibe that song gives off. You can just feel the misery when listening to it....at least I can. I guess it really just depends on if you have something in your own life that you can relate the mood/feeling with.
