anyone here a satanist, or something? i mean a proper, prays to and does all the ceremonies etc? i dont want to be one, i just wanna know about it all, curiosity sorta thing.

That stuff has nothing to do with satanism, you're talking about occultism (in my opinion it's a sick idea
). Boulevard magazines like to mix these groups to one and tell satanists would be to the devil praying racists and kill vergians for Satan and stuff.... all just crap. search for "Anton Szandor LaVey" or "Modern Satanism" on the net. It's just called satanism because the structure of the christian church is completely turned to the oppusite. Not people are ruled by a god, but people rule (as gods). Historically satanism is really interesting, you could compare it with the french revolution.

I guess i'm atheist/agnostic though to the eyes of religious people i'm a pagan 'cause i'm not baptized..

being a pagan doesn't mean to be an atheist, like some people believe here!
being heathen means to believe in something: in nature, in your inner strengh, in art, that deeply touches your soul, in a certain way of life!
when i'm walking through the ancient woods of my homecountry, passing by places of old, around which myths and fairytales are told then the pagan spirit touches me and i stand in awe before nature and the old secrets. i don't believe in wotan as a physical being but as a force of nature. and he touches me in such moments!
by the way, my avatar is also such a mythic place, very near from where i live! it's called the "urtelstein", an old place, where it's said that witches performed their rituals! it was also a place where the townmayor judged over outlaws!
even though i often visited this place, it wasn't until i took a picture of it and took a look, that i realized, that it actually looks like a giant head who drinks from the river, as you might notice!

I'm a pagan, I guess, but in a way, I'm not really religous. This is what I believe: The gods are men who have lived once - great chiefs who could practice magic. Thus this is about forefather cult, so to speak. The goddesses are different aspects (and names) for Mother Earth. Thus this is about nature cult. As for magic - it not supernatural; it's superbaly natural. It's science that either isn't discovered yet, or it's discovered and then forgotten. And elves, trolls and all the like - they are the ghosts of persons of different people who have live earlier.
I don't call this a 'religion', though. It's just the old ways of living and thinking (made very short here...), in my language: Forn Sed - Ancient Custom. And being scandinavian and all, my most importand Gods/Goddesses are Thor, Frey, Freya, Frigga, Oden.
And I believe most of what I believe in can be - to some extent at least - proved with science. It's all just about different definitions and different names for things...

which i think acctully is kinda wierd thing, 'cuz they dont need to belive in satan, acctully most of them are athesists. but there is alot of other things to it, its more things like how u behave and stuff like that.. so why they are called satanists at all, i just dont get...
