Religions?

Well, please exchange insults somewhere else...:)

And, my view of religon follows:

I don´t belive in any gods, nor higher powers, gosts, pixies, secret powers or magic. I don´t like religions, because they are not (mostly) adeptebal with humankind egosim. That is, humans are to hungry for power to be able to uphold the soul purpose of religion (when saying religion, I am mostly refering to christianity, since it is the religion i am most familliar with) wich, in my eyes, is to spread the words of God to help eachother and be kind to your fellow humans.
Well, I don´t like the "we are the true religion and must iradicate all other people that don´t think like us" I know that far from everyone is like that, but many enough.
Religion has filled its original purpose. That of explaining things that could not be explained before the scientific revulotion. I don´t need it, but people that do (for example my ex. girlfriend) to live a life, should be alowed to do so without beeing interfered.
Religion should not be forced upon kids, as in the bible belt in the USA. Everyone should be alowed to make their own desicions, and therefore everyone should be educated about evulotion, since it is scientificly proved.

I think that many things that is said in the bible is great things that I try to apply in my life, eventhough I am not a christian. For example, To treat everyone as yourself would like to be treated, what is wrong with that?

Well, spose I have said what I wanted, I will try to explain more cleraly if you´d like me to.

BTW, Satanism, can it really be called a religion? I would most certainly not call myself a satanist, eventhough I do think that there is a point in taking care of what is yours and what you like.

I do have some opinions on certain things that might seem like satanist opinions... Like survival on the fittest... (to an extent) But I usually don't tell people about that lest they might come to think of me as a satanist, something I'm so definitely NOT. It's not like I think it's RIGHT for the strongest to survive; nor wrong, though. It's just natural. Just look around you, and you'll see that's what the world is like, however you feel about it. the strong ones are the successful; always. For someone to live, someone has to die, or suffer. Just look at nature. It's not evil; it's natural.

incredibly interesting post there ! you see that its hard to draw the line...am not christian either...am a "gray" guy if we can say...but weak
exist maybe to be helped...if everyone would be strong there would be no control , no differences ! the worlds need to be made of different things.
and there again if weaks are there to be helped maybe sadistics are there to be hated :)

Well, I do agree with you on the survival of the fittest thing, I am a Biology student after all..:D But there is one interesting aspect of it, and that is that evulution was set aside the day mankind became aware of it... Simply put, we are creating or own process where the most adepptable human lives, but the weak don´t die. And we are wery wary of protecting animals and plants that can´t adeppt, which in turn makes us the godlike creatures that makes desions wich spieces should live and die... Well, I´m not in the mood for a long post, but this is my meanings in short...

I hate religious order, though if you want to believe it, go ahead-believe it! I have a personal philosophy that is culled from the philisophical elements of satanism, paganism/heathenism, christianity, taoism and buddhism. I have studied religion in depth, and have found that the best way to live your life is to find what applies to you. I also create my own philisophical ideas and ideals, as the best way to be free is to set your own path.

for curiosities sake, what does "Senistrognata/Aurrad/Slighe nan Déathan " mean and what is the relevance to heathenism? Thanks!

tend to be narrowminded, but indeed one of my
best friends is a muslim, and I don't care about that.
She totally sees my view on things, as well as I can
see what her views are about... And while I can't
BELIEVE in it, she won't believe in the things that I
"believe" in, and that's just natural. Be mature
enough to discuss things, don't just flame people
for believing in something!
 
by the way...am no christian ! as i said in a post i am the kind of gray guy... i am totally aware of my good and evil sides , i have
dark desire also but i fight some of thing i enjoy and should not , to not choose the path of easyness !

AND to all others... This is a thread about religion, right? Sooo, evry aspect of religion should be open to discuss, and noone should say that "your way of thinking does not belong here"... Even if I don´t recognise Satanism as a religion, but more as a way to view life, there may be people that think that. So stop this nonsense, plz..?

Agree with you there... Like sheep; they wouldn't live hadn't it been for humans. I don't hink people should mess with nature in any way; neither to help nor do damage. But the things we already have messed with, we should make well again, and then let nature take care of iy from there.
