personally i really enjoy R2R listening to it now.the only song i really really hate is transparent, but otherwise i enjoy it. i think its a great album, and if you have a problem with that then, well its your problem.

Reroute is the worst album they've done for several reasons.

1. Transparent
2. horrible production
3. barely any guitar melodies
4. too many power chord riffs
5. Anders is not a good singer, let's face it, he just needs to scream or do that "talking" or whatever it is
6. too many lousy keyboard overdubs (makes you wonder if they are listening to too much Linkin Park)

... and lastly, but most importantly...
look at the songwriting credits on their website... it says that the music was written by Stromblad/Gellote/Friden for Reroute... whereas on the last few albums it said music written by Stromblad/Gellote and lyrics by Friden...
Anders is ruining In Flames. Just look at his shitty side project, Passenger.

People had their expectations too high for RTR. Most people were expecting more than The Jester Race or Whoracle, but it turned out to be below their expectations, which are impossible to meet. I still think it is better than Colony. Now everyone expects their next album to be shit, and everyone will love it even if it is mediocre, as long as it isn't RTR. If they release another album as good as their old ones, it will get a shitload of good publicity.

I do not hate Reroute to Remain either, but they could have done a better job with the production and vocals...I think the Jester Race will always be my favorite album by them!!! The whole album leaves you breathless!!

Yeah...Oh well, so they kinda fucked up and made this album geared for the more mainstream....The new Soilwork, on the other hand, is nothing compared to Natural Born Chaos!!! I think the new album brought them just a bit lower than the status they were at with NBC!!!

I've been trying to get something good out of Reroute for a week now and it doesn't seem to be helping.
The vocals ruin almost every song except the title track, Drifter and Egonomic and the riff recycling is obvious (Trigger, Minus).
I seriously want this album to be good but it sucks

It's the only album I got from In Flames, I tought I might try this band as I heard good things about them, but it was the only album they had in store. I like it. It's different to most things I am used to listen to everyday, so I listen to it a couple of times a week. I can't compare with older IF stuff but it kills 90% of the bullshit we have on TV and radio

points that i feel need to be made about R2R (it was an ok album) because all the albums leading up to it are phenominal even clayman which i really dont see why many people hate:

1.jesper bring back the amazing guitar melodies.
2.anders your clean vocals on all the other albums were good what went wrong on R2R dont use that many clean vocals until your as good as micheal stanne.
3.the drumming is great on this album no complaints at all there.
4. The song structures are pretty lame and seem to be trying to copy clayman.
5.in flames are some of the best musicians i have ever heard and are capable of much better.
6. The production is SHIT !!! im sorry its disgraceful
7. All those people crying and moaning about how in flames betrayed them and sold out, no they didnt and they gave the jester race so they owe you nothing more
