Good topic. Black Metal is inherrently anti-Christian. Well considering that Judaism and it's two degenerate children Christianity and Islam control the majority of the thought process in the world today it's only natural that those in black metal have to go somewhere else to find new values. The logical places to look are the basic desires within, the cultures that flourished before Chirstianity et al, and nature. These are the basic themes of black metal as well as some of the off-shoot genres such as Viking metal. But I think a lot of it all comes down wanting to get away from the this horrendous society based on horendous values which is basically demolished or debilitated all but a few of the traditional cultures of the world and raped nature to unfathomable degrees. And for those of you who think it's childish to think you can just get away from it all I sugest you read Henry Thoreau's Walden: Essay on Civil Disobedience. It's easier done then many may think. Ok I'm probably so off topic, sorry I have mono and am totally out of it...

Well for one, I'm not exactly white(though I have a great great grand father from Netherlands, it doesn't really help because I don't know him) but I tend to find Nordic mythology, along with Greek mythology, middle eastern mythology all interesting. The reason why I'm drawn to this form of music? Fuck knows, it really all sounds good to me and some of the lyrics are pretty well written, enough to draw some interesting things from them.
I guess since I am pretty open to everything, I respect all civilisations and how they came about. From Jewish people to Chinese people to the Vikings and the Ancient Aryan people. We're all just human beings anyway, the same decaying organic matter.
