Is there any Opeth ringtones around?...already made by you brilliant folks to share?!!
C'mon I know there's computer geniuses in here who could hook a girl up! Cause I don't have a clue!

Alright, so maybe it doesn't have anything to do with opeth ringtones or opeth but i just had to post them cause i think they are funny. I use them on my phone. they are for nokia phones, i found them on the finntroll message board.

Agreed, I cringe every time I hear one of those custom ringtones...makes me want to shove the cell up its user's bum.

If they sound like shit quality vs the ones in the phone already, of course I wouldn't want em... -- but -- ... it COULD be cool if someone has the brains to make some cool ones with a cool Opeth riff(s). I heard several "heavy metal" riffs on the net today (samples), well there was a couple cool ones like a carcass one, and one maiden one

I'd prefer Opeth tho...

However, if Transcendence's fintroll "help" is any indication ..it's a moot point to me cause.. I don't have a fkn clue what that means (!) or how I would use that info in my phone. ha ha

You can't make a decent opeth riff with just one tone anyway. They need dual tones for that harmony and counterpoint.

To get those ringtones in your phone you have to have a nokia 3390 or higher with the composer function in the menu. Once you get in to the composition function you just push the number that corresponds with the note you are trying to get than use the star button to change the number after the note and the 8 and 9 buttons to change the number in front of the note and the pound button to make it a sharp, and you use the zero button to make the little rest, that would look like this 4-, using the 8 or 9 button to change the number in front of the rest. if you have a nokia phone but it is lower than the 3390 and you know someone that has a 3390 you can make it with their phone and then send it to yours. and on the 3390 phone it only allows you to save one ringtone that you make, but it allows to save 3 or 4 different ringtones that people send you, so what i did is save the one that i made, and then when i made the other ones i just sent them to myself, allowing me to save four ringtones of my own. i use to have a bunch of in flames and children of bodom ringtones i might be able to find them again if anyone is interested, hopefully i didn't through the paper away that i wrote them down on. hope this helps

Thanks Transcendence, I understand you now.
It wouldn't work for me as I don't have a 3390 (or know anyone who does). But it sounds like a cool option to program your own tunes.
Guess I'll stick with mozart or whatever I picked off the pre-programmed ones, hehe.
