Roommate Rants

^Yeah, I will if I can, but it looks like I'll be living in the dorms for the next 2 years. My friend into black metal has an apartment with his pregnant girlfriend close to the campus and it's very nice, he has a living room with an HDTV, a guitar room, for rehearsals, playing, whatever, and 2-3 bedrooms and a kitchen.

Oh yeah, he pointed out that your roommate is weird for complaining at you for snoring. That's just.... weird. Seriously, get your own place.

If you had a proper level of reading comprehension, you would have noticed that it was a former roommate because I mentioned that I transferred schools and moved back home.

blargh, meant to unbold that part since I was writing something else pertaining to that. I'm actually living with my folks for a bit, but I'm fairly independent.

Well obviously the guy isn't taking care of himself at all, but I can't say I approve of what your friend said to him. I mean it's not like I'm Mr. Nice Guy or anything, but that just seems a little mean to me. Oh well. I don't mean to be critical of your friend, by the way, but it actually bugged me a little when I read that.

Yeah. Kind of cruel.

Seriously, that's your fault. Wear a breathe right strip. He shouldn't have to wear earplugs because you snore.

I guess I got lucky because my room mate is a very easy going nice going nice guy. We share our stuff a lot and get along well. We are both moderately social, so it's not like there is a huge difference there. I stayed at his house for fake Thanksgiving and his mom bakes cookies for us.

The only annoying thing he does is that he will talk to me when I have headphones on. He also gets excited over things very easily where as I am very level headed. Also he's a even bigger nerd than I am and insists on telling me plot lines to animes and comic books he read.

That said I think I am really lucky to have him as a room mate, because I could've got a heavy partier or an asshole for a room mate.

How dare you call the Canadian thanksgiving fake .....not that I care much anyway.:p

My roommate first year was cool, and we got along fine surprisingly.

Second year was good, but I was with 3 other guys in an apartment. One guy was good at cleaning up after himself, the others left their dirty ass plates in the sink, food remnants all over the table/counter tops and never cleaned a single thing in the apartment all year. I called them out on it a few times and it would just end in mutual denial, leaving me to try to keep the place somewhat livable.

On the other hand, I know I pissed off one my roommates because I was always up until like 3 am every night playing loud music or watching TV while at least one other went to bed for early morning classes. One night in particular, I remember Miles (another roommate) and I were up late using microsoft sam to yell really loud, annoying and drawn out insults about each other in addition to this roommate who was trying to sleep. At one point he yelled at us to stop, to which I, of course, retorted with another obnoxious MS sam insult, forcing him to get up and race to my room to punch me in the shoulder. It was pretty hilarious to us but I am sure Brandon (the roommate trying to sleep) was quite furious despite joining in the laughter as well.

This year, it is just Miles and I, so things are kept quite clean in general. It's more like first year that way, so I have very little complaints thus far.

Haha, I also call the money fake money too and people get pissed . I think Canadians, at least Ontarians, are pretty much exactly the same as New Englanders, even though they try to feel different. There was a whole part in my sociology text about how America was different from Canada and I thought it was amusing that they even included that.

Maine especially. At least half the people here have French last-names, including my roommate, hearkening of French-Canadian descent.
