Which band do you like better?

I would have to pick Nevermore, because I can't get enough of the instrumental aspects. But I like Warrel's vocals better on the Santuary albums (not to say I don't love them with Nevermore). But I like Warrel's more recent, more mature lyrics, so it's Nevermore for me.

I like both! I picked up Santuary's debut when I heard Mustaine produced it and played on it as well. I remember cranking 'Battle Angels' with my buddy's back in the day. I like both of thier albums and I got to see them tour with Megadeth and Warlock back in '88' I believe. Great show at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago. It was the last night of the tour and when Megadeth was doing 'Anarchy' for the encore everybody from Sanctuary and Warlock came running out on stage in thier underwear, including Doro!:yow: That made my 17 year old ass very happy!

I love Nevermore now as well, but those Sanctuary records are old school classics and Warrel could hit some frickin' high notes back then! I think I going to listen 'Refude Denied" right now!

Wheezer, pick these two discs up if you get a chance!

Oh wow, that's awesome!

I love bands too, but I like Nevermore just a bit more. Haha, I don't think this would count as "back in the day", but I remember when I first got Refuge Denied, I would blast it while driving last summer. Good stuff indeed.

Now, when are we gonna get a Nevermore headline tour in the states?
I would like to know this aswell! I've heard nothing but spectacular reviews, from here, and other sources, and I'm dying to see them myself!

Well musically i prefer Nevermore but vocally his work in Sanctuary is just so much more dynamic and interesting. So i guess the answer is both?

I too saw Sanctuary with Megadeth and Warlock back in 88, but I was 20 at the time, and it was in New Jersey.

I voted for Sanctuary as well. I like Nevermore, but I don't worship them. His vocals were much more appealing to me back then than they are now. Like Jonny D, I do respect how great Nevermore is.

I saw Nevermore three times in '05, but all were as openers. Twice on Gigantour and with Opeth. I want a full set...dammit!:hotjump:

Hey you shouldn't be complaining, at least you got to see them at all!:p

Nevermore. Loomis alone is worth the price of admission!

Into the Mirror Black was the better disc from Sanctuary. Miles ahead in the songwriting department, not that the first one is bad or anything.

sanctuary by a mile...

i like never more, but come on now, you just cant beat fucking BATTLE ANGELS!!!

Refuge Denied alone beats anything nevermore has ever put put out.

Correctomundo my friend, I just cannot get Nevermore... By the way, you can beat Battle Angels, Termination Force (hope that's the song name) blows it away. Anybody have any Nevermore discs for a Sanctuary fan to start off with. I've heard 2 Nevermore songs, and they just did not stick...so, maybe something a bit out of the ordinary... Does Warrel have ANY of the killer vocals he had with Sanctuary?
