Correctomundo my friend, I just cannot get Nevermore... By the way, you can beat Battle Angels, Termination Force (hope that's the song name) blows it away. Anybody have any Nevermore discs for a Sanctuary fan to start off with. I've heard 2 Nevermore songs, and they just did not stick...so, maybe something a bit out of the ordinary... Does Warrel have ANY of the killer vocals he had with Sanctuary?

The only Nevermore album where Warrell sings remotely like he did in Sanctuary is the self titled debut. It's a good album, the most similar to Sanctuary. After that it's all low and mid range stuff with one or two exceptions per album usually.
I rate the Nevermore albums like this:
1. Politics of Ecstacy
2. Dreaming Neon Black
3. Dead Heart In a Dead World
4. Nevermore
5. This Godless Endeavour
6. Enemies of Reality

Dead Heart is the most accessible but lacks the progressive, technical and unpredictable aspects of the earlier albums.

I have to say both! Santuary's first album was there own but you can hear the Nevermore in the second one. I have seen both bands play live (does that betray my age? lol) Sanctuary a very long time ago at a dive called the B&W club in Saskatoon...and Nevermore last month in Belfast at Rottfest where Warrel was kind enough to pose for a pic with me...and if i can ever get the software for my phone sorted out I will upload it! I have to admit though that Nevermore were better live...but I think that is due to stage experience...and although most people went to Rottfest to see Devil Driver Nevermore really blew them off the stage...way to go guys!!

I'm going to have to say I love Nevermore...Nevermore was one of the first metal bands that I really got interested in, and they've been a big part of my metal love since. To be honest tho I haven't heard enough Sanctuary songs to make a non-biased choice, but since I love Nevermore, I'm gonna have to stick with that :p

Sanctuary. It's more rockin' and I don't really care about the "introspective", "socio-politically aware" whining Nevermore seems be full of. I liked some of Dead Heart, but the new one just made me :erk:. I can see the talent, but it's not my kinda stuff.

Sanctuary has everything that makes late 80s US Power Metal the greatest music in my book.:headbang:
