Oxford Brookes, which for most subjects is a pretty mediocre Uni, but I'm studying History and their History department was rated one of the best in the UK. So hopefully it should be pretty good.

Indeed, I think it's a well respected institution in many regards, perhaps unfairly overshadowed by Oxford. Provided the lecturers are good, university is essentially what you make of it. The vacuous and stupid go to party and graduate with poor degrees (if at all) and if you're interested you'll do well and learn a great deal.
