say something about ... yourself!

Got some fudge, skeleton socks to match my boots, random stocking goodies, and almost $200 worth of Target gift cards! Not bad, not bad. Derick's family knows me better than my own

Very worn out from making insulated kitty boxes for the cats outside. I guess they'd just been staying under the canopy on the deck or under the deck. Well, the canopy collapsed and it's all mucky underneath the deck. Little Cracker Jack was cold and crying :(

So I made one box, stuck a heated towel in it, put it out there, and of course Popcorn (the patriarch of the kitty bunch) went right into it. So I made another and put Cracker Jack in it myself :p

I feel like utter crap today. Due to eating mostly candy and cookies the past two days, and sleeping on Derick's terrible old mattress. Gah! *eats more chocolate orange*

Hmm, I think so. My mic has a guitar cable plug.

So a 1/4th to 1/8th?

Either this: [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Grado-Mini-Adaptor-Cable-Inch/dp/B001DK1ZVO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1261889673&sr=8-2[/ame]

Or if it's XLR than: [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Comprehensive-Video-Group-Stereo-3-5mm/dp/B00009X45L/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1261889704&sr=1-1[/ame]

There's cheaper ones, but some of the cheapos will result in horrible artifacts.

What mic do you have? You could really fuck your shit up this way... your best option is buying something like a tascam us122

[ame]http://www.amazon.com/USB-2-0-Audio-MIDI-Interface-US-122L/dp/B000MUO0MC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1261897183&sr=1-1[/ame]

Or something similar to interface with your computer.

yeah it doesn't really matter what you hook up, you can fuck it up, guitar was just an example. Sure SM-58 has an XLR so you would need an XLR to 1/8 adapter which im pretty sure don't exist. you need an interface of some kind, the m-audio fast track is nice.

it's unfortunate but digital recording is a bitch to set-up and buy, im slowly doing mine, prob get some monitors or nice headphone with the money from christmas.
