This is really really cool my freinds band did a cover of teargas and it's not to bad at all. How far along is this now? I'm not in a band and i can't really play music but I want to make some cover art is that cool and if so who can i send it too? Thanks very much.

hey dora, i got a mic today and recorded a small blurb of music, but theres something up the with the recording program since i have to keep hitting record every 60 seconds, you have any idea as to what i can d/l so i can just play as long as i want?

btw it sounds a lot better than i imagined

i emailed you back, the cool edit thing helps out a lot with the sound quality before the guitar was very raspy sounding due to the fact that its kind of black metalish, i shall have the guitar done today, vocals tomorrow

I hope I can record the cover this week. My friend comes tomorrow home from holidays...The sound isn't that good because I can't make it stereo with one mic for the piano...but ok, it won't be professional, just an attempt to do something...

I use Cool Edit as well, but can you improve the sound of your guitar with it??? Or did I get you wrong?

i dont know, i used some program and my guitar sounded shitty, and then i tried windows sound recorder and it sucked and then i used cool edit and it sounded great. if you add the chorus effect it gives a little bit better sound, also if you reduce the hiss and the click/pop shit, oh and if you want a good sound dont record at high levels from a mic

yeah, try to keep all levels at mid, otherwise the sound will get saturated...
also if u use COOL EDIT PRO 2.0 try the DELAY EFFECT -> "Spatial Left 2" or "Spatial Right 2" to all rythm guitars...it adds a great "surround" effect!
it sounds great!

i used a chorus and set it to 4 voices, it gives the guitar a very cool sound. i set the chorus for 12 voices on the vocals and its pretty scary when you do like black metal style vocals

oh yeah the chorus stuff is great for vocals
try the 5 voices PRO for the chorus parts in songs

I did a shorter version of wealth, not so close to the original..and the sound isn't that good because of my poor recording equipment and my lack of experience (this is the first song I record...)
But ok, I wanted to do it anyways, just for fun
