shirts

90% of my clothes (t-shirts-longsleeves) is metal related. I even wear them at work (its an office job) almost all the time. As for good metal t-shirts online, the last good website i checked was the one of Hellion records (cant remember the link).

Banana Republic makes the best quality "common" casual/dress clothes around. Period, end of story.

banana republic = gap = old navy

same company

they do make good shit though

You're 50% correct. Same OWNER, not same company.

Basically, those 3 "brands" represent the 3 levels of quality: Old Navy = 1 stitch, Gap = 2 stitch, BR = 3 stitch, thus the highest possible quality (from that company at least; Armani it ain't).

BR? are you kidding me? that stuff is shit. my ol lady worked there in college and brought me reams of the stuff because she got ridiculous discounts. all the stuff fell apart. the jeans were atrocious.
ok, exaggerating but it's still cheap shit made by slaves. so is gap. old navy is very very cheap.
i honestly dont know who makes (read: forces chinese children to sew garments) long lasting and stylish clothes. like i said, i only have the BR stuff because the wife worked there.
my personal experience with long lasting clothes have to be fruit of the loom t-shirts.

story: my gay neighbor bought $250 pants at a boutique the other day and they ripped right down the ass-crack seam when he was dancing on new years eve. super high quality stuff there. $250 hahahahahaha

i have some banana republic clothes because for some reason my mother has decided to get me BR clothes for every fucking possible holiday. i wear them to work. they're pretty nice, but not worth the price tag and the slave labor imo.

regarding metal tees, i've always thought the really big billboard-graphics shirts looked kinda bad anyway...

Once again, you're stuck in a land 13 years ago. BR went through a complete company makeover about 5-6 years ago, you newb.

one thing is sure ... go to the back of any Banana Republic and indulge in really cheap wear .. their sales are crazy once they discount stuff ...

i just asked my wife about this. you are completely wrong - for the first time ever. my wife worked there from 1998 to 2000. and has shopped there about once a month ever since. no change.

I may be wrong about the timing of the makeover, but I'm 100% correct about the stitching/quality rating of their clothes. Maybe the BR near you has mice, because I have half-a-wardrobe of their clothes, and they hold up well for year after year.

Except their jeans, they suck.

are you talking about when they went from actual weird safari clothing to fashionable stuff?
yes, their jeans are terrible. ive never had a belt loop actually rip off before BR

lol, safari wear

Not entirely. When they made that switch, they THEN went high-end clothing a few years after that as well, I thought it was about 1999-2000 or so.

Their casual/dress shirts are aces, their business wear is great (for the price), their pants are great (pants, not jeans).

they send me emails all the time for suits that are like $500. not really expensive mind you but its just funny that they think i need that.

yeah, $500 is actually not expensive for a suit. not that i would know from personal experience

dressing up is for pussies. and tucking in shirts is the worst thing ever!
I wear Bears, Illini, and my Jackson guitar shirts to work.
and I still havent worn pants this winter.
