i like sleepless '96 in a different way than darrens version.
its got feeling instead of rage,the only missing element is the growl in the end:sleeplesssss.i think its got the solo :comfused

The truth can only come out of Danny's mouth but remember guys ... he said some time ago they would never re-record Eternity , so why should they do that with TSE then ??

having a choice to make i'd rather they re-recorded Eternity

i wish eternity sounded different, but there's always something wrong with them, they are never really perfect. its good doing versions with antimatter cos hindsight helps you play better. micks voice really suits certain songs too.as for sleepless 96, i think its got more about it than the original. the production is lame on the serenades version. this one is faster, with bombs and that.
thats what i think anyway.

Danny do you still like the songs Sentient and Radiance ? They are among my favourites on Eternity with Angelica,Suicide Veil,Far Away and Part III.
Sentient is the song that made me fall in love with Anathema.

perhaps you could do eg. suicide veil '03 to see the difference or any other track,and put it as bonus for the japs then danny you could satisfy your curiosity about how better eternity could be,along with all of us of course
