Slate Drums Terry Date Expansion

I believe it's mapple A/B judging from the video but it's not tuned as high as it was on white pony, also I didn't use the full crack on those.

Sorry for the lame-ass riff.

Are the rest of these drums the TD expansion, too?

TBH, I REALLY like the whole kit on these (well, most of them, at least)... Kick and snare both sound good, though I just can't dig that Deftones snare.

All of the other clips I've heard of the TD expansion sound like the drums were recorded in someone's garage compared to the CLA expansion. Your clips have certainly piqued my interested, again.

Kick and Cymbals are TD, toms are SSD (not that TD toms are bad, just a bit darker).

Made a little comparison clip with both expansion packs for anyone who's interested, i like them both very much, but indeed very very different from each other.

I was fiddling around with my Roland TD6V e-kit triggering SSD4, basicly just freewheeling around and making it up as i went along, so it's not the tightest performance.

Terry Date

Both tracks are completely raw except for a limiter on the master buss. No compression/reverb/EQ whatsoever (so they sound even better when mixed properly)

Sounds fuckin nice !
Love it.
Funny how the original slate deftones snare sounds very thin in comparison, I don't like it at all next to the TD drums.
Your clips picked my interest too, sounds like it's a great library with very natural and properly recorded drums.

The CLA version sounds much louder, at the least in perceived volume.
I think both libraries are good on their league, CLA for a very polished fat hyped drum sound, and Terry Date for a more cracky / natural / punchy tone.
Blending both might sound unreal ! (TD for the crack, CLA for the sustain/fatness).

I think I'll buy Terry Date before the offer ends, as I'm more in need of that kind of tones (already owns a lot of "fat / hyped" drum samples).

Hey guys! Could some one post a screen shot of a mixer window of TD expansion? I d like to see what options are there to control different mics etc. I lack the snare bottom mic a lot on all the clips posted. Is it there? The crack is good but it lacks a ring and sustain, which you can easily blend in using some other samples but anyway...
