Smell it, smell it, now take it!

What the fuck did that dude think he was gonna do with those shoes? LOL Did he have ninja throwing stars built into the soles or something?! Shit, the crazy lady who stands in front of Food Mart yelling obscenities at the passing cars has better aim than that dude.

I was hoping he'd get smacked right in the face with the shoe but wow, yeah... ninja skills. Well we knew he could dance... He's pretty nimble. I think the guy deserves a boot to the face but really, what damage can be done with a shoe, not much at all. :D

Actually, throwing your shoes at someone is one of the worst insults imaginable in the Arab world. I feel sorry for the reporter though he's probably been deemed a terrorist and is being water boarded right now. Bush needs more than shoes thrown at him though he needs to be arrested like the criminal he is and tried before a court of law.

My grandfather turned 89 today. He's 100% Italian, used to run with... Well, a VERY Italian crowd. hahaha. He was a singer back in his day, had out a record, and performed with people like Perry Como. He's very old school. I called him to wish him a happy 89th and he said...

"Did you see that son-of-a-bitch almost get hit with a shoe? Too bad he missed. He's ruined this country. We'll see what happens now that we have that "tizzun" in office. They'll have to do him like one of the Kennedy boys."

Old folks crack me up. They still think it's 1935 outside.

Yknow, we've always kept politics and ND very separate, especially in public forums and stuff. I plan to keep it that way personally but I will say this....

I'm not a fan of Bush. But I'm not a fan of any president. They're all bullshit. I think a huge majority of people make their judgements nowadays on what makes a "good" president and a "bad" president with about as much true insight and informed opinion as they do when picking who should be booted off American Idol next week. "He's a criminal, HE'S A CRIMINAL!" They're all fucking criminals, folks. The sooner that everyone wakes up to that, the better off they'll be.....perhaps.

And at the same time, I don't applaud people from some other country throwing their shoes at the president either. Not because I think highly of Bush, quite the contrary. But because it's indicative of what those people tend to think of Americans in general these days. And to say that it's our president's fault that the rest of the world looks down upon the American people isn't right, because you can never judge a whole race or nation of people just because of their leaders, especially when in most cases in history, the people in charge so rarely truly represented the people they were ruling.

And with that, that's the last I'm gonna say on this whole subject.

I agree with most of what you are saying. But Bush was elected by the american people so he does represent the american people.

the first time around, he WASN'T elected by the American people. Gore had over a half-million more votes than Bush. that Electoral College nonsense is what got Bush in office.

that being said, the American people represent the American people, not some piece of shit of a human being like George Bush.

Exactly. That's what I'm talking about. I didn't vote for him. Yet the people from outside the U.S. hold me accountable for Bush being in office. How? Millions of people didn't vote for him. Yet it's ok for the rest of the world to hate those people or hold them accountable because of Bush even though those people didn't like or want him either? Think about this, seriously. That'd be like me hating every person from Germany who was around during WWII because of Hitler. You just cannot generalize like that, and I have seen for years now alot of unfair generalizations thrown at Americans, and it's no more fair to do that to us than it would be for us to do to them (which does happen too, I realise that).

Judge a person only on their own actions and merits, nothing else.
