in the end i went odyssey mainly for its length and the work put into it. but it was hard because awakenings especially has struck a strong chord in me so i wanted to chose that one.. yet ttlg also had a profound effect on me so i was torn between all three of them. sigh. this poll is so hard. i hope i made the right choice.

I think it's good the way Luis has it set up. Otherwise... many votes would be for "other" and we wouldn't generate a great number for the "selected" songs.

I know I'm going to get blasted here, but is there anyone else out there who doesn't care all that much for the song :The Odyssey"? For all of it's great parts I just think there are too many lackluster rythms and verses to make it a great song. I just started listening to this entire album over and over the other day after a few months of it being out of my normal rotation (V being the one I was listening to continuously) and I love all of the songs (even "The Turning") but when I get to the Odyssey I find myself not liking certain parts. I love the orchestration in the intro, and toward the end before "Triumphant", but a lot of the heavier parts don't keep me interested.

Anyway, don't get me wrong on this, SyX is still my favorite band by far! I love just about everything they have ever done, and while I like the song "The Odyssey" I just don't think it's a "great" song. "The Divine Wings of Tragedy" on the other hand, that's a GREAT song!

Of course, this is all my opinion. I know most people here don't agree with me, I'm just wondering if anyone else felt this same way about the song.
