So, I had a friend in his late 20s who got into a situation like this with a married woman ten years his elder. Eventually her husband found out, and they broke off the relationship. Then the woman tried to kill herself and her children. She failed at the former and succeeded at the latter. Now my friend is on call as a witness in her trial, and will probably have to get up on the stand and talk about the details of his affair while twelve people decide whether this contributed to this woman's mental instability. Her family will probably be there, as well as her husband's.

A perfect illustration of the potential consequences that aren't even a glimmer in your eye when thinking with the other head. Yes, this is an extreme incident, but at the same, not an isolated one. And I'm sure going into the affair, much like your situation, it was all about "NSA" fun & games.

How about this one? I have a 17 year old student that I'm fairly certain wants to jump my bones. She even asked me out on a date in Japanese but was then too embarrassed to do so in English when I asked her to repeat it. I understood what she wanted but I let it go, pretending I didn't understand. She's a strange one but not too bad looking. I've been told to not form relationships with students by my boss and I've seen countless stories like this from other English teachers that have ended up horribly (being stalked, being fired, having to escape the country, attempted suicide, etc).

Actually, I think it's less about morality than it is about logic. (One could try bring the "morality" argument into play, but I think that angle is far less effective than hammering home the potential "not worth it" consequences. Saying "don't do it because it's wrong" isn't really an effective starting point for the discussion - I don't think we have a right to judge the situation on that basis).

Aside from the fact that it would probably be exciting and cool as all hell, don't do it. I once messed around with an engaged woman that reported to me (years ago). Once it was over, it was awkward as hell. Not to mention that she told me she was feeling guilty and that she needed to tell her man. While it wasn't necessarily breaking any rules at work, the thought of this thing coming apart in the office was bad. Peoples image of you would take a major digger. You don't want that crap following you around. The world is often a lot smaller than we want it to be and you never know when you might end up sitting across from one of those people again when trying to get a new job, etc.
You might also want to consider her family. What if her husband really is a good guy. She might just be a little nuts and probably talks a lot of smack about him. People generally don't share the good times with others. Anyway, think of what this could do to that guy and those poor kids. There are obviously issues there if she would be willing to do something like that. You just don't want any part of that crap, IMO. Let her risk destroying the lives of a few people on someone else's schedule.
