Someone explain the subgenres of Electronic music

for all those who think the genre is shit, heres a big fuck you from the master himself:

Went back through again...

Trance: Psytrance.
Breakbeat: Chemical, Big Beat
Jungle: Darkstep, Neurofunk, Atmospheric
Downtempo: Ambient, Ethereal, Ambient Psy, Ambient Breaks.

I guess as a general rule I like the slower trippy stuff, but Chemical/Big Beat have something pretty unique good going on (they seem to be some of the most commercially successful...they seem to err towards more rock-like song structure)

That is of course just playing off that website =P


Also, while I was listening to DI.fm ambient radio they played an album called "Ambient Cookbook" that had a couple of particularly amazing songs-

Silence - Heaven
I.F. - Kisy Loa

Unfortunately neither appears on amazon nor have I been able to find any torrents... meh. Kisy Loa was especially great.
