omg, Sunjammer had a bday and i missed it.. *dies from embarrassment* :cry: but i don't check all threads regularly so maybe i have an excuse? :( anyway, happy extremely belated birthday Sunny, and don't feel bad about it, apparently noone remembered Jivarp either (unless there was a thread that i didn't notice). :err:
 
If it's not carrot and curry flavoured, it's just not proper ice cream. :p

I got my photos back today, but unfortunately some are really crappily lighted, or just crappy. Still better than nothing though.
 
I spent most of the weekend with Dirk. He asked me to think of get-rich-quick schemes so he won't have to go to law school. I doubt he wants to leave. A couple of times he looked like he was near tears. Well, when I started crying, he kissed me and his eyes were damp.

"Do me a favour and find yourself a fantastic guy. You're a fantastic girl. I'm sure when I'm back for Christmas you'd have had 50 boyfriends."

Yeah, right...

honestly, li, this calls for a sarcastic stare and a "why don't you find me one then, you coward?".

he's not bullshitting. at least that's not what his eyes tell me, and to say he's an expert liar would be awarding him too much credit. i don't want 50 guys :(
 
it's the quality of the line, not whether he means it or not. i'm not going to wish 50 boyfriends on someone i might be falling in love with. if i do, and if i mean it, i'm a moron. sorry, people, i'm quite stern when it comes to these issues (and you, li, can shut me up easily, but i know you're nice and you won't, because i'm trying to help ;))
 
well, that was a summary. it was more like:

him: you'll have 10 boyfriends while i'm away.
me: no.
him: 25?
me: no!
him: not enough, eh? 50 then?
me: that's more like it.
*laughs, hugs and kisses*
me: i don't want 50 bfs.
him: i'm only joking.
*more hugs and kisses*

I'm sorry to interfere, but the guy didn't say he wishes 50 bfs on li, it seems more like he expresses the belief that she's capable of finding as many, if she wants, and perhaps a vague disappointment if she does (this basically depends on the way he said it, i'm making speculations from the way i imagine the thing).
And i think at least he's thoughtful enough to tell her to find someone else, instead of making her wait for him forever and suffer this way. Long-distance stuff fail anyway.

Of course i can be very wrong, so li you're free to tell me to fuck off, this was my 2cent-bullshit anyway. :p

thanks, Siren. you're not interfering, it is a public thread. if anything, i'd hate to be hogging it. we share similar beliefs on this subject so i certainly will not tell you to fuck off. besides, i have yet to find anything you post to be bullshit :)
