Yikes, well I got a few years on most of you, but not all, (HI HAWK). I am more in Nevermore's age bracket (30's) 31 to be exact, and I have a birthday coming up...birthdays aren't so great after you hit 30, but I suppose my belated present would be to party w/the guys in Cleveland, that would suit me just fine.

is this market research?, clever. i got into it in '90 when my bassist showed me into the mirror black. i was always into priest since i was 10, and i liked the lyrics too, so i got it and refuge denied. i liked the singing style alot but didn't care much for alot of the sanctuary riffs. but when the nevermore transformation occured, i knew i'd like it cuz i already knew jeff was bad (he won the seattle guitar contest).
to be honest though i think they've gotten a little to much into the ballads. they're cool and all but they just don't have the same kind of energy as songs like taste revenge and battle angels and they don't have the longevity with me 4 some reason. don't get wrong they still are probably my favorite metal band cuz they are heavy and shred, and have vocals with a melody. i really dont even listen to bands with monotone, cookie monster vocals at all. bottom line: faster riffs and warrel with the taste revenge intensity level would surely rule.

I got into Nevermore with the release of DNB. This guy, who came to be a real asshole introduced them to me. That's about the only thing I can thank him for. Anyway, I've loved Nevermore ever since and I like the CDs from their Sanctuary days, too. I'm really glad I gave them a listen.

Yep, got 31 years under my belt too. It's nice to know that even though we are all growing older and older, our music still has a very strong presence in the world. As far as me initially getting into Nevermore...I actually bought them for the cover artwork initially. I saw it on the Century Media website whilst perusing for new cd's to add to my hocked away collection. "Hocked?" you say. Yep, hocked. I had a 200+ cd metal collection. I was a metal junkie if ever there was one. Then I made the mistake of marrying someone not into the same type of music. Needless to say, money got tight, and the cd's were a quick way to some cash. Now, one divorce later and a metal junkie is reborn. Anyway, I bought the Dead Heart cd on the basis of cool coverart. I got the cd, popped it in and was totally blown away. Then I just worked my way back through their catalog. DNB is by far my favorite, because it evokes so many emotions within me.
