When I think about it, Iam really lucky. My nationality is Sri Lanka, but I was born and raised in Denmark. Other tamil people dont have the freedom to listen to that music they like. Only Tamil music. My parents let me hear what ever I want. So Iam pretty lucky to have parents like that.

Just do what I did to avoid them throwing out the CDs:

Give them the lyrics to all the albums and ask them if there are any swear words in any of the songs. If they say no [the inevitable answer] then you can just say 'so how is this bad music if they don't cuse? They play from their heart and that's what counts, right?'

If you play an instrument, you can say their melodies are unique...blah blah blah.
