Spider-Man rebooted !

hmm yeah I just think it would be good for a "darker" spiderman than a "nice guy" - the artists can make Norton look a bit younger, something a bit more grittier would cool

Yeah maybe if they made a movie about older spider man one day, but most of the comics and movies (like this reboot) portray him as still in high school. No amount of make up could make me believe Norton was a highschooler, haha. Also, this reboot does seem to have a grittier feel to it than the Raimi trilogy, especially from the footage that was shown at Comic Con

on a sort of related note
Nick Cage's face just looked way too old to be Johnny Blaze in that Ghost Rider movie, the guy playing "young Johnny Blaze" should have played Blaze throughout the whole movie IMO

Ed Norton could play Peter Parker if he had a face-lift first

I would agree but that kid was an even worse actor than Cage. By the way, they are making a Ghost Rider 2 with Cage right now.

i wasn't talking about acting skill
i was talking about what the faces looked like

Whoever was talking about Ed Norton as Spider-Man, I think he'd be a much better Ghost Rider.

Ed Norton as Ghost Rider >>>>>>>>>>> Ed Norton as Spiderman
Ed Norton as Ghost Rider >>>>>>>>>>> Nick Cage as Ghost Rider

I think they should get a very feminine male to play the part. I'm talking the prance around tossing flowers about type. Can you imagine the wrist movement when he shoots his web?

Spiderman is serious business!

I think the new kid looks more like that than Tobey did, at least. I'm a big fan of the late 90's Spidey comics, so I'm glad to hear that they are going for that more modern feel rather than the 60's feel the last one had

i meant that they should never have casted toby maguire in the very first one, they should have gone with an actor that looked like the way peter parker's face was being drawn at the time right before toby was casted as spiderman, i was trying to find a pic of what that looked like and this civil war pic was as close as i could get while i was half-asleep
i absolutely loved the late 90s comics too, the 60s comic almost seemed like a different character

I agree. Sam Raimi always said his movies were based on the 60s version. I'm glad the new director is younger and knows the modern comics better.
