stefan86's offtopic random retard thread - post away!

Well, you didnt have to be in USA to see that "freedom" is bullshit.

But tbh i still envy their police force. People dont deserve "freedom" they need to be controlled. Im against total control but some controlling needs to be done or we will all face anarchy real soon.
I have a friend that moved to Washington state 15 years ago. He says he imagined the US to be a better place but he still cant complain. I specificly asked him about the police. "As long as you are well mannared and do what you are supposed to do cops act professional"

I have been to almost every part if the US and to my the recollection I only had one truly bad experience, and one "could have been reeaaaly bad but turned out fine" moment in Detroit. The average American is not that different from the average Canadian. The upper class and politics in the US infuriate me but other than that it is cool.

The bad experience involved extremely racist southerners almost bluntly threatening my Dad and I for not also being racist. It was... Tense. That was my first experience with hardcore racism, up to that point I had never been exposed to that kind of baseless intense hatred.

I used to live in Santa Cruz California, and it was a good experience so far, perhaps because it's full of hippies :) but I also remember walking on the San Diego marina at night and the police was quite paranoic not only with me (being mexican hehe) but with everybody who was just having a good time on boats and shitt... Also last time I went to Miami I was quite impressed with how nice the police was

But it is funny thou how they call it the "land of the free" and the moment they come to Mexico they are always asking things like "you sure you can do this?"... answer is always "you are in Mexico man, relax and do whatever the fuck you feel like doing!!!" :)

I was going to leave it at that since I am at work and on my pgone but I already typed that much.

So specifically. My dad is a truck driver so he spends a lot of time in the US, and since I used to go with him sometimes I have seen a lot of the country. This particular trip was to pick up a load of peaches. I can't recall 100% which state it was since I was only 9 or 10 at the time but I am pretty sure it was Georgia.

Anyway it was not a large facility, it was just a small farmer's warehouse that did not even have forklifts to load trailers with. So they had to load the peaches by hand, and naturally it takes a long time to load half a trailer. They had about 5 black guys doing it and they were clearly tired from heavy lifting all day, so my Dad being a helpful and generally good guy decided that him and I could help them load the peaches up.

The warehouse workers (all white) saw this and sat at their table giving us strange looks. Eventually two of rhem came over and with a completely dead face said, "You need to get back in your truck, that is my pals work."

I was an idiot and did not get that the situation just got pretty fucked up and made a smartass remark. My dad talked to them briefly (not sure what was said) and eventually one ofvthem started raising his voice angrily and flat out said "you don't help the my pals, you get back to your truck and stay there or things are going to get messy! You understand me??".

Pretty fucked up. At the time was didn't really understand the concept, so that was my introduction to the fucked up world of biggotry.

As for my almost bad Detroit experience... I went to Detroit for a metal concert and two days before going my friend and I (without thinking about it) shaved our heads while drunk just for laughs. We had not anticipated getting lost and being two skinhead looking white guys in a mostly black neighbourhood.

We asked a white guy in a suit and briefcase for directions. It was pretty amusing later.

To bad you were not older so you could have kicked those warehouse workers asses for threatening your dad.

I think im in trouble.

There is one famous polish detective, name's Rutkowski.
3 weeks ago I saw him in the restaurant, table next to mine. Today he was "following me" in the grocery store.

He knows :/ But at least I saw his car today so i know what to avoid.

Honestly even now it wouldn't be worth it. I don't know how much outright public racism still goes on down there but I guarantee someone within 100 meters was packing a gun and shared those views and could potentially make things worse. People like that are not only very outspoken, but also very aggressive about those views. Escalating that situation would be bad enough on the spot, but even worse when we left and they had my Dad's name, his truck's information/license plate numbers and our destination.

I'm not saying it would necessarily get that bad, but that kind of passionate hatred and anger can lead people to do really crazy things.

Anyways in all my voyages to the US that was literally the only bad experience ever. As nasty as it was.

Fucked up. :erk:
In Sweden we are labeled racists for questioning the way our government, or state, "misstreats" refugees.
