Steven Slate Drums 4.0

I've done a cover using Slate drums. Getting my disclaimers in, but the guitars were all one take and I don't know the bass for this song. The drums are one of the presets with zero post processing on them.

Apologies if I've ruined this Foo Fighters song for you.

Guitars sound a bit weird and the hi hat playing sound a bit robotic but that's very cool otherwise.

I actually think that guitars sound wonderful! Mind sharing your recording chain? Drums are obviously too raw, but I understand that was the purpose...

You're right about the drums, very raw.. but that was indeed the point. These kits are very well suited for rock music and I suspect with the right post processing on them, would sit in any mix. I love the raw sounds.

Guitar tone was

Me
Gibson Les Paul Classic with a Gibson 500T pickup
Peavey 6505 (red channel, gain set to about 3, low at 4, mid about 5 or 6, high about 7, res at 4 and pres about 7.. I think)
THD Hotplate set to load and using the direct out (this was as much a test for using this as it was for using Slate Drums)
FF800
Catharsis s-pres 8 impulse
Slate VCC set to API with the drive at 3 (I knew they used an API board to record this album)
Post EQ (HPF @ 70Hz, LPF @ 10kHz, cut @ 139Hz, cut @ 843Hz and cut @ 2.45kHz)

There was 3 tracks of guitar. One a side and a lead guitar down the middle.

we're almost caught up with support so it should be really soon.. terribly sorry about the long waits.

Going to be triggering SSD4 for a project that we're working on in the next week or so. It's the first project for our new recording studio. Exciting stuff. Just stoked that the new Plug came out in time to use it. The Black Beauty snare is worth the price of purchase. Imo.

This is going to seem totally fucking retarded- but I've only really been on Slate Digital... Where can I buy the .TCI's from all the kits with the deals for the 3-4 packs? Slate Drums only has the virtual instrument... I don't think SweetWater has the individual kits. I'm retarded if it's just because I haven't upgraded Trigger.
