Mmmm I like death and power metal. I didn't know death metal fans were supposed to hate power metal fans. Dragonforce is currently my 6th favorite band. Although a melodic death metal band is my favorite band right now, Dragonforce is still something I love dearly.

-est post ever.My brother seems to think since more people listen to shit music like Linkin Park and System of a Down it some how makes them better bands. He says all metal bands do is scream and they all sound the same. How fucking brain washed are kids these days? I can't even argue with him about music because he doesn't understand. It can get pretty frustrating trying to explain metal to newbs.

Ummm Dragonforce is an amazing band. Get your head out of the mainstream hate ocean. They mainly became popular because they got into ozzfest which sealed their fate of popularity. They are pretty much the best band in ozzfest right now unless I missed a band. Mainly Ozfest has a lot of "core" bands in it right now last I looked. I bet Dragonforce is gonna become a lot more popular therefore since Dragonforce is one of the few bands in it that isn't a "core" type band. It's a power metal band. I wonder if this is the first time a power metal band has ever been in Ozzfest.

They're excellent musicians and any exposure they get is fine with me, as long as it means more people will be converted to metal.

Dragonforce are great musicians. Their music is fucking lame. Period. I've heard a million good guitarists, I don't give a fuck anymore. Maybe when I was 14 I would have cared. I actually owned a *holyfuckinggasp* Stratovarius album back then, and I justified this because they had Teh Kool Solowz and the bass player had 6 strings and stuff. But it's lame, I see that now. My BIGGEST problem with power metal bands is that THEY ALL SOUND EXACTLY THE FUCKING SAME. They all use the same 3 or 4 chord changes. They're all 4/4 time, same vocal melodies, same beats. I have never heard a self-described power metal band that in any way didn't fit these standards. Death metal may all sound the same to power metal fans, but that's only because someone who's used to music with generic melodic chord changes can't wrap their brain around dissonant riffs. I... fuck... I don't care anymore.
