I get terribly bored with my body, tattoo's brighten it up a bit. Tattoos are just permanent representations of things folks generally tend to associate themselves with through clothing, disposition or hairstyles.

Haha, it's no shock. I even find one of my tattoos no longer speaks to me as much as it did. I always wait a year when I want a tattoo before finally getting it done, they always mean something to me in some way. The transience of personality only means that the tattoos meant something to me at some point, if not any more.
Folks tend to over exaggerate our role in this powerful play. We are here 80yrs at best, and I feel comfortable enough in my own skin to adorn it with things that mean something to me, or have meant something to me - I'm not ashamed of who I was or who I am.

Hey, if you like that skull then be happy about it and feel 100% satisfied.
Tattoos, like everything else, is a very persnal thing,
some might not like what one's find great, who are we to judge?
I personaly love tattoos, mostly I love the big ones on other people
than myself, I only have 3 small ones, and probably a forth one on the lower leg, but we'll see when and where.

according to Icelandic mythology (I did it when I travelled in Iceland)
and on my ankle, I have a tiny hawk-eye I did it when I was 16, and I will prolly do somehting around it, or a cover...
not that I hate it, but I just want something more meaningful, and different.

Ah. I really like the runes, that's cool Karen, and most definitely the kind of tattoo that I can appreciate. With all of the travelling that you have done, tattoos make sense. It's a part of you, and you just display that to everyone through your body. I like it. Keep up the good work. ^_^

ONE thing...well, actually TWO things have kept me getting a Tat.
1) Can't get life insurance in Japan with one.
2) Some Onsen (spas) won't let you in with one.
